Back 2 School! - Flourish with a Bling's February Challenge :)

Hello Everyone!  The new challenge at FWAB is now live!  And it's a real good one!

The “Assignment” is quite simple – Use school photo(s) on your layout...

and the “Homework” is that you must include a date or year at the very least on your layout!

If you’d like to create a card or off the page item instead... no worries - it must also be school themed and all projects must have at least 1 FWAB item on it!

Easy peasy, right?!  What a great opportunity to get those adorable school photos scrapped!!  You know you want to, right? ;)

So here's my DT example, entitled "Kindy"...

I have used FWAB Bella Rhinestone Flourishes Black to frame my photo.  I love the rectangular rhinestone frame and how it was a bit smaller than the photo - it gives a nice effect, I think. :)

I have also used a sprinkling of FWAB Adhesive Pearls Blue to compliment the colour scheme and to add a little extra to the Bella Flourishes.

I've made a washi-tape patterned background again!  The dark tape measure paper is actually washi-tape (available from D-lish Scraps).

I have used 2Crafty's Everyday Font alphas for my title - the have been painted, doodled and blinged up!

The circle I've used is from 2Crafty's Circle Frames chipboard sheet.  This 12" x 12" sheet of chipboard circles is so versatile and suits any type of layout!  Here I have covered my circle with foam number stickers, painted a couple of coats of gesso over the top, then once dry I used a large artist brush to sweep over the top in blue acrylic paint.  This technique highlights the numbers and it adds a bit more interest, rather than painting the whole circle blue. :)
