Guest Designing this month at CSI!!! :)

Hello everyone!  This month the 2Crafty team has been honoured to be asked to guest design for the fantastic challenge site, CSI.  In case you're not familiar with CSI, which stands for Colour, Stories & Inspiration, this site encourages you to try new colour schemes and tell your stories in inspiring, fresh ways.  Sounds great hey?  You get to be a little bit like a detective, which is really fun if you always wanted to be like Nancy Drew, the Famous Five or even Inspector Gadget... :P

So firstly here is my layout, "On Top of the World"...

I've used the delightful new Suga Pop collection from Kaisercraft... it's so pretty and it matches this weeks' colour scheme perfectly!  I have fussy cut all those hearts and popped them onto 3D foam adhesive.  My background was misted onto white cardstock using the fussy-cut heart negative background paper as a mask.  Most misted hearts have been outlined in pencil and my large heart was hand-drawn and cut out to expose the cute pp underneath.

I have used the following 2Crafty chipboard products on my layout;
1. Folk Hearts - These have been painted in slightly different shades of grey and I've taken some runny dark grey paint to make streaks (in turn, journalling lines) randomly across each.
2. Birds on a Wire - Painted in much the same way as above except the base colour was minty fresh!
3. Summer Leaf Stems - Same technique again, this time with a turquoise base coat.  I've trimmed each leaf from the original trunks and turned the leaves into decorative photo corners.  The trunks will be used in a future project! :)

I have solved the case by using the following;
Evidence -
Hearts
Flowers
Leaves
A large heart as a major design element

Testimony -
Use a heart-shaped journalling spot
Inspiration words - Love, Reflect and Soar
