Hi me hearties! (Said in best pirate accent)
Today I'd like to share a layout that I never actually got to share on my blog. It's a double-banger and it's called "X Marks the Spot!"...
This layout featured in Scrapbooking Memories, Vol 15 Issue 8 and it's one of my favourite doubles ever. :)
I am so glad I passed on my camera to a family member because I got these wonderful shots of Heidi's birthday party... with me in them!!! :D
We had a lovely treasure hunt and I enlarged my favourite photo of myself and dear Heidi - looking at our treasure map (complete with distressing and burned bits... Lol!). I chose a second focal photo for the right page and printed all the rest of the photos as thumbnails on a collage. I then adhered them to my layout in order to look like a trail to the "treasure" and the title "X".
This was a lovely layout to create - as you can see it was really fun!
I loved those Purple Pumpkin fabric buttons - there were perfect for this layout's theme! I also used popsticks for my journalling (wooden planks! ;)) and I've used some washers tied with twine (like little anchors).
The baker's twine also helped with the "rope" vibe which carries on from the whole pirate ship theme!
I've been wanting to share this layout on my blog for some time... and now I can! I've been doing lots of scrappy things but nothing to share... yet!
Until next time, have a wonderful weekend!!!
